October brings us another eclipse season. We have a partial solar eclipse Saturday, October 14 and a lunar eclipse, later in the month. Venus moves into Virgo and reaches her greatest distance from the Sun from our view. We end the month with seasonal celebration of Samhain.

From day one, we knew we were building a place of community, healing, education and service. A place that would outlast us for generations to come, a center that would enhance the lives of all who visited. The intention for True Nature as a gift to our community and humanity was the top priority from day one. 

The biggest astrological occurrence in September is the beginning of the new Venus cycle!
Venus has risen into the morning sky. She is in the Morning Star phase of her 19-month long series. It is the beginning of the journey, and this brings a fiery aspect to the Feminine right now. She’s up. She’s pumped. She’s ready and rearing to go. Just like the eastern dawn light that begins the day, this initial period is characterized by new beginnings, awakening, and awareness.

Fall is a natural time to begin something new—a project, career change, relationship or transition out of old patterns into new ways of being.

August is bookended by Full Moons! Venus ends and starts a new 19-month cycle of the Goddess. We have the cross-quarter celebration of Lammas. Mars changes signs. Mercury goes retrograde on the same day the Sun enters Virgo. There is A LOT going on in the sky!

The psychiatrist M. Scott Peck wrote a beautiful book on personal discipline, love, and grace called The Road Less Travelled. He called it that because most people never take up this inner journey, choosing instead to remain hypnotized by the unending presentation of shiny objects fabricated within the collective waking dream. 

July is feeling mellower, astrologically speaking. There are lots of minutiae connections between the planets, especially the Moon, but let’s focus on the big items and feel a little ease with the astrology in July!

June is packed with astrological happenings! Two major planets go retrograde, Pluto moves back into Capricorn, and it’s officially summer with the Solstice. There’s so much going on. Let’s jump right in!

This month at True Nature we honor sacred Mother Earth—her power, nurturance, and beauty. We only have to walk through the forest, swim in the ocean, or climb a mountain to feel her majesty.

May starts while we’re still in eclipse season, leading us into the lunar eclipse on the full Moon. Mercury stations direct and kicks off a new Mercury cycle.

This month at True Nature we are exploring love and compassion. Love is our inherent nature, compassion is love mixed with understanding.  I offer two pathways to love and compassion, and without a doubt, there are others.

This month at True Nature we are exploring the topic of inner strength and personal power. This aspect of our being is associated with the solar plexus, the third chakra, and the center of will.

April brings us into the start of eclipse season with a solar eclipse at the second Aries New Moon.

Buckle up, March is a massive month astrologically! Phew! Huge stuff is going down or up as the case may be.

As we near the Spring Equinox what seeds do you want to plant in the garden of your heart? What intentions do you want to germinate? We each have an important role to play in creation. 

There’s a deep ocean of love inside us, in fact, we are in it. Not only are we in it, we are it.

February brings the Celtic celebration of Imbolc. This marks the halfway point between the December Solstice and the March Equinox. We start to feel the returning light and notice the days are indeed getting longer.

January starts while Mercury is retrograde, out of the linear box. I think this bodes well for this year’s theme of looking within. Retrograde Mercury invites us to look through the right hemisphere of our brains. To perceive in new and novel ways, filled with cyclical thinking instead of unidirectional, harkening back into our ancestral brains where we looked at the whole.

2023 is filled with astrological happenings, of course. Here are a few highlights to look forward to as well as themes you can tune into throughout this year.
